Trader Joes is one of those stores you can’t get enough of. It’s such a unique store with something for everyone. If you have never been there, you’re missing out! They have a high standard for their products and very reasonable prices. In fact, I have found that their prices are much lower than other grocery stores like Wegmans and Tops.
I find myself stocking up on my favorites in case they sell out, especially the seasonal products. I shop there every week. I made myself a rule, I can try one new thing each week- It’s a difficult rule to follow. I have found so many products I love. I have listed a few of my favorites. It was difficult to narrow it down because everything is so good!
First thing first. When you walk into the store, you are immediately hit by the aroma of fresh flowers. When I say fresh, I mean FRESH. I have had a bouquet of their flowers last for weeks and still look like I JUST bought them. The best part-the price. They are half the cost of those in other grocery stores.
They have a large variety too. I will say, If you do see one you like, grab it or it will be gone. I am still kicking myself at a few I left behind. Needless to say, they weren’t there when I circled back around. One of the best plants I found there was a banana tree! I was so excited about it. They went fast.
I also bought all my spices at Trader Joes. I planted them in an old wheelbarrow. It was a fun DIY project and the spices have grown so well! You can check that project out here.
Another favorite is Scallion Pancakes. This is actually a family favorite. They come in packs of 4 and are located in the freezer section. They are flavorful and filled with vegetables. I use a black iron skillet to get a nice crisp outside.
I am selective about pizza dough and usually make my own. However, this Garlic and Herb Dough is one of my favorites. It can be used for a variety of things, pizza, rolls, breadsticks, calzones, Stromboli etc. It has a nice flavor, not too over-powering. I use it for Garlic Pizza.
If you’re like me, you have ranch on the side for dipping with everything. This ranch has a strong dill flavor, so if you don’t like dill-I’d skip it. The consistency is thinner and more runny than most ranches. I prefer it that way, I use less on my salads because it mixes easier.
Here is one of the most recent items I tried and I love it! I put it on to of baguette bread for a snack. You can use it on top of anything. It is a mix of olives, pimento, herbs and spices. It would make a great addition to a charcuterie board.
These nuts are not only good for snacking but they make the perfect addition to a salad. I add them to my steak salad. They mesh well with the other ingredients such as feta, dried cranberries and the raspberry walnut dressing. Be careful though, it’s. easy to polish off the entire bag once you start snacking!
If you are looking for another option for sea food in your diet, this is a great one. I use them for shrimp tacos. I throw them in the air fryer for a few minutes while I get everything else ready. Gluten Free too!
This hash is one of Trader Joes unique combos. Bite size mix of veggie, ready to add to anything or just eat as a side dish. It’s so versatile. Soup weather in Upstate Ny is upon us. This is great to add to any of your Fall soup recipes.
Well that wraps it u for now. Stay tuned, I may have to do a Part 2 down the road because there are so many amazing products to try!
